This switch is commonly used for a horn or starter. If you use this switch as a starter switch you would still need a separate on-off switch to control ignition. Normally people use a on-off switch to activate ignition then they flip this switch to turn the engine over. After the engine begins running, you release the toggle switch handle and it automatically returns to the off position.
