This speedometer pulse sensor is for a standard 16 pulse per revolution speedometer gauge. As the teeth spin around on the CV joint they send a signal to the pulse sensor telling the speedometer how fast you are moving. This a great setup for vehicles that are no longer using the stock speedometer cable such as off road vehicles using after market spindles. This will work on any standard 16 pulse per revolution speedometer. When wiring this sensor to a VDO speedometer you wire both terminals to the VDO gauge. When wiring this sensor to an Autometer gauge, you wire one terminal as ground to the chassis and the other terminal goes to the gauge. It does not matter which terminal you choose for the ground and which terminal you choose for the gauge.
