1 Swaged Aluminum Tie Rod

This tie rod has left hand thread on one side and right hand thread on the other side allowing you to expand or contract the length. This tie rod is commonly used for rod ends or heim joints to create all sorts of linkage. On Hot Rods, Street Rods, sand rails, dune buggies, trucks, jeeps, or rock crawlers they are commonly used for making sway bar links, tie rods, pan hard bars, 3 link, 4 link, 5 link, trac bars, drag links, trailing arms, ladder bars, or traction bars.
Our USA made swaged tie rods are super strong. Swaging is a forging process in which the ends of the tie rods are compressed using dies which the tie rods are forced in to. Compressing the ends of the tie rods increases the density of the material.
We offer these swaged tie rods in both aluminum and steel. The advantage of using aluminum on your front end, is that if you hit something with your vehicle the aluminum tie rod will bend before your arms, spindles, or other expensive front end components. The aluminum tie rod would be your "weak point" and tie rods are much cheaper than replacing arms, spindles, or other front end components.
For the hardcore racer or heavy duty sand rail, baja bug, or rock crawler we offer the swaged steel tie rods that are less forgiving in an accident.
